Pieter Hoekstra joined the Board of CCLC in 2008, and is presently its Vice President. He concerns himself with the investment strategy of the endowments of CCLC and negotiations of CCLC’s conservations easements. From 1994-1998 he was  President of the Mount Vernon Country Club Metropolitan District, where he guided the donation of a conservation easement of 320 acres by the District to CCLC. He is a retired geophysical consultant, and from 2000-2008 a Distinguished Visiting Scientist in the Geophysics Department of the Colorado School of Mines, where he taught several courses in environmental geophysics.
