It was a snowy winter in Clear Creek Canyon with several heavy storms, but now the snow is melted and all that moisture has brought out the spring flowers and filled all the streams; it’s a perfect time to hike the Beaver Brook trail or do the loop at Centennial Cone. Seeing the Canyon come to life in the Spring always makes me appreciate how lucky we all are that it has been preserved for us to enjoy. Whether you hike, ride, climb, kayak, raft or just sit and appreciate the scenery, get out and see Clear Creek Canyon at its best.
2016 is the Clear Creek Land Conservancy’s 30th anniversary, and we have events scheduled through the summer and fall to celebrate our anniversary and everything CCLC has accomplished. Our big anniversary bash will be on October 13th at the Mount Vernon Country Club. We’ll have live music, a silent auction, appetizers, and drinks to celebrate 30 years of conservation in the Clear Creek drainage basin. I hope you’ll mark your calendars today and join our mailing list to get updates on tickets and other events this summer.
